On May 16th,  seven of our top students travelled to the Order of the Dragon championships in Bakersfield.  Competing in Traditional forms, Weapons, and Sparring, our seven dragons brought home a total of 16 awards...including 10 First Place trophies and medals, 4 Second Place, and a Jr. Grand Championship earned by Studio 7's youngest competitor,  5 year old Stefan Roberts, Jr.!

Instructor trainee Bohannan Orr showed his mettle when he volunteered to fight as a Purple Belt (intermediate rank) against Black Belts and proudly brought home third place. Orange Belt Kimberly Smith also took the opportunity to show what Studio 7 students are made of by sparring in an Advanced Division and winning a First Place trophy!  Loki Zen King triumphed in the youth Black Belt Divisions as did Jonathan Garrett, Robert Sanchez and Firman Sarwono in their respective events.
